Mia and Emi are either playing or whining. Sometimes both.
I feed Mia while entertaining her with a book or a game (distractions are required to make sure she eats all her meat and veggies). We get done by around 6pm.
Emi is usually going crazy by then. I give him some dinner too. Usually carrots with rice cereal. If he's really lucky, he'll get pears with oatmeal instead.
Papa is done working by 6:30 and we try to have dinner too. This is harder than it sounds. We bribe Emi with puffs so that he's quiet. And hope that Mia finds something to do, which is usually messy. Our dinner lasts about 10 minutes.
Afterwards, one of us cleans up while the other watches the M&Em's. They both start acting tired and wacky. Emerson is too tired to crawl well on the slippery floor and looks like he's on a Slip n' Slide. Mia has had a long day and is yelling nonsense. And Papa is egging on the wackiness.
By 7pm I take Emi up to his room to change into PJ's and have a bottle.
The madness all ends with something like this every night:
